The Jet Engine

Seen head-on, the fan of a jet engine is a purely geometric object: a crown of fine, regular blades radiating around a hub. It is the most graphic clock in the range, and the quietest to look at.

Desk clock machined from solid aluminium, 40.7 × 50 × 26 cm, limited to 20 numbered pieces per finish. Designed and assembled in France by B.R.M Chronographes. 8 400 €.

The model

A crown of blades, a dial at the focus.

The ring is matt. The fan is grey on the front face, black within the lacework cut-outs of the aluminium: the object changes as soon as the light moves.

The dial takes its place at the centre of the jet engine. Twelve aeronautical copper rivets heighten the brilliance of the whole.

The two black aluminium uprights link the jet engine to its delta-wing base. A tie-rod, mounted on a third point, secures the stability of the whole.
