01 — Material

Machined from solid.

The aluminium is machined from solid with an extreme demand for precision. Every surface, every edge and every proportion is worked to reveal the purity of the material and to offer a subtle play with light.

Everything is machined from aluminium — never cast. Each cylinder is cut on a 7-axis CNC lathe: the part is perfect as it leaves machining.

Every aluminium component is machined to close tolerances, guaranteeing perfectly controlled geometry and an impeccable surface quality.

Machining is rigorously inspected: dimensions, edges, surface finish.

The drawing starts from a real mechanical part: steering wheel, disc, propeller, cylinder. The proportions are reworked until the object stands on its own, on a desk.

02 — Motor

An invisible precision.

At the heart of the clock, a high-precision quartz motor delivers steady, regular timekeeping. Chosen for its reliability and discretion, it disappears behind the object so that only what matters remains: the precision of time.

A high-precision quartz motor, chosen so that it never asks for attention. Its battery is replaced about every three years: that is routine maintenance, not a fault.

Contemporary technology, in the service of a craftsman's approach to the object.

Regulating

Motor fitted, hands aligned, final inspection. The clock only leaves the workshop once its running has been checked.

03 — Finishing

Nothing is left to chance.

After machining, every part receives meticulous finishing. Satin-brushing, bead-blasting, polishing, anodising or lacquering are used according to the surface, to create harmony between material, light and volume.

Bead-blasting, satin-brushing, polishing, anodising or lacquering according to the surface. This is the step that decides how the clock will take the light.

Circular graining

There is no polishing robot in the workshop, no finishing machine. We chamfer the edges of the parts at a workbench and apply the circular graining freehand, not on a CNC machine: the finishing therefore carries the hand of the person who did it.

Lacquering

The lacquer is applied in the workshop, on the machined piece. The colours of a racing team, a brand, a car: the palette that serves our watches serves our clocks too.

Even within a series, every part is fitted, lacquered, brushed and finished by hand. That is why no two are quite alike.

Works shaped by French craftsmanship

Fitting, brushing, painting, masking: everything is done in-house, by qualified watchmakers. It is the same workbench, the same gestures and the same eyes as for our watches.
